Trout and Salmon Fishing in Lake Ontario

     Lake Ontario offers some of the finest freshwater fishing in the US! Our charter fishing season begins annually on April 1st and runs until October 31st. That means there's plenty of time for you to experience the excitement of hooking into one of our Lake Ontario Trout or Salmon!

     If you're not familiar with our fishery, there are mulitple species available to us, and we often catch a nice mixed bag daily. The Trout species in Lake Ontario are Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout and Steelhead (a strain of Rainbow Trout). The Salmon in Lake Ontario are Coho Salmon, an occasional Atlantic Salmon and the Chinook Salmon. The Chinook is also called a King Salmon, which, if you hook into one you will understand why they've earned the name - they put up an incredibly powerful fight!

These fishing trips can be customized for duration or departure time, depending upon the scheduling your group requires. Our client base is made up of hardcore, serious fishermen, family groups, neighbors, fishing buddies, corporate groups, young, old, handicapped, men, women and children.      Our Premium Fishing Charter is what is depicted on this site. It is fishing with Capt. Mike aboard the Rodmaster. This is the ultimate Lake Ontario charter fishing boat - a 33' Trojan International with a 13' beam (width)! As stated previously, Capt. Mike has a 30 year career of fishing success, credentials and reputation. This trip is a cut-above the other Lake Ontario Charters, and as such is priced at a Premium rate. This is the charter that most of our clients choose, and is the preference of the discriminating sportsman.

     The Sportsman's Charter is with one of our Fleet Captains aboard a 28' or larger, fully equipped fishing charter boat. All of our Captains are very experienced on Lake Ontario, and possess the knowledge and fishing techniques to provide a productive, safe and enjoyable fishing trip.  The Sportsman's Charter is geared towards our more "budget-minded" clients, and is priced at a rate competitive with other Lake Ontario Charters.
