RODMASTER CHARTERS home port is Irondequoit Bay, which is located on Lake Ontario’s south shore in Rochester, New York.  This area is well known for consistently producing fantastic catches of trout, salmon and smallmouth bass.  The sheltered waters within the Bay are also known for trout, walleye, northern pike and largemouth bass, which offers a great option on the rare days that the “big” lake is unfishable due to inclement weather.  This mid-lake area has the best of both worlds -- it has a fantastic inshore fishery with plenty of structure which historically has always held fish, AND a nearby offshore fishery where you can rapidly access deep water.  Simply put, long “runs” to get to fish are unnecessary here.  We spend our time FISHING not running up and down the lake! Further tribute to this area’s consistent action is the fact that several charter operations actually move their business to this region at different periods during the season, when their waters become unproductive.  We've fished Lake Ontario from east to west and have decided that THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE.  It offers an unbeatable combination of elements, producing a truly WORLD CLASS FISHERY!
